WATER
The Cabin is supplied with water from a private well. The owner (Mike) specializes in water well drilling, maintenance, and filtration systems. Our filtration system was installed to give one of the best water sources available, and it’s even better than bottled water. While here you can enjoy the benefits and flavor of the best tasting water anywhere!
SLEEPING & LAUNDRY
With dorm style sleeping, custom log beds were designed and built from the trees on the property. Beds are all single with exception of one full-size bed. Each bed is furnished with a thick mattress and bed cover. For those that perfer there is the option for linens including custom handmade quilts.
Full sized washer and dryer, with supplies for you to use during your stay if needed.
HEATING
The Cabin is heated with three gas fireplaces: one is in the middle of the home as the main heat source, another is in the Great Room for added support during winter months, the last one is in the lower lodge's main bedroom. Thermostat controlled so you can adjust to your liking and cozyness for the long winter months. We also provide portable heaters that can be moved around the home for those areas you would like just a little more heat. With any home heat rises, creating a nice warm upstairs sleeping area, so if you like things cooler at night the downstairs room is great for cooler sleeping. Ceiling fans and a circular fan have been provided for moving the air during the summer months. The home construction offers a very even tempered environment year round.
BBQ GRILLS & FIRE PITS
Outside the first deck is a fire pit and seating area for sitting and relaxing while visiting with friends and family. This is a seasonal amenity and may not be available if there is a burn ban in effect. So bring your wood and come enjoy a night under the stars!
Grilling is fun at the Cabin with the large custom charcoal grill that was designed with large groups in mind. Bring your own charcoal and lots of grilling foods to experience the full effects of being in the woods. There is a picnic table located next to the grill for convenience while cooking or even to enjoy a meal outside. For those winter months we also have a gas BBQ on the large back deck area, with an outside dining table.
INTERNET & LIBRARY
The cabin is equipped with wireless internet access, to allow you and your guest to be connected and save on your data plans. There is a small all in one audio/speaker unit, which runs; Radio, CD, and hand held devices. If you need video entertainment you will need to supply your own devices.
The entrance of the Cabin has a little sitting area with a small library of books. Over the years people have donated different types of books for others to enjoy. Feel free to help yourself while staying to the books and this area. If you so desire you can also add to our collection.
